Gauteng Central Squad Turns Up The Heat

With the SA Inter-Regional Championships looming ever closer in the horizon, the selected GCTTA inter-regional squad, under the leadership of Margie Luckay, assisted by Sarel Oberholster, got together on Sunday the 10th June to put in some much-needed pattern play and multi-ball exercises.

The afternoon kicked off with warm-up exercises and around-the-cones running and shuffling. This was followed by a quick discussion of the afternoon’s proceedings and intentions, whereupon the juniors and seniors were split into their various training groups.

Many a rosy-cheek was seen amongst the participants showing that the exercises were warming indeed.

With other training sessions in the offing prior to the SA Nationals at John Barrable, the GC Squad should be ready to face the rigors of tournament play and the onslaught of all opponents.
